By now everybody is getting ready for the Easter break, those who have to work anyway.
The rest of us are expecting family, friends and our usual upcountry visitors to come and share in our beautiful part of the country.
But be warned the third wave of the Covid is expected so don’t let your guard down.
Perfect weather and perfect conditions were there for our betterball Stableford last Wednesday.
Tony Power and Deanne Jooste combined well to take first place with 41 points.
It was a count out for second place which went to Mike Eley (getting rid of the Stone) and Roly Tickle on 40 points, over Alan Eriksen and past Captain of Springs Country Club Billy (not Willy) Nelson.
Anton Visage and Gert van Tonder claimed the Stone.
The ladies joined the men for the Individual Stableford game on Saturday sponsored by the Clubhouse restaurant and the Scottburgh Golf Store.
Playing to his single figure handicap in extremely windy conditions Barry Kisten scored 36 to win the day.
Tony Power never far away had 35 for second, Ian Walker scored 34 for third and John Mills had 32 for fourth.

After prizegiving there was a few local draws for members and finishing the day off Tony (yes you’ve guessed it) Power turned over the Joker for a big payday with Tony giving almost half back towards the Captain’s fund.
During April we’re expecting plenty of visiting players and to kick it off the Scottburgh Lions club will be hosting a day on Saturday, April 10.
The following weekend will be dedicated to the Club Championships.
