Alf Toy is Sezela BC’s most improved bowler
The players are grateful to Warwick Maturity Financial Wealth and Enzo’s who sponsored prizes for this competition.
Considering it was the Easter long weekend the monthly trip’s competition for both the men and women sections was well supported with a total entry of 60 bowlers and included visitors from The Bell, AMBC, Scottburgh and Umkomaas Bowling clubs.
Claire Helfich did a fine job in organising the women’s section and announced that the second session winners, Jean Shannon, Cassie van Aswegen and Claire Wilhelm won Putt n Pott sponsored vouchers.

Runners-up from The Bell, prominent in their magnificent canary yellow colours, Johanne, Lindi and Channal, won Food Lover’s Market vouchers.
Winners were the Sezela team, Jenny Wadeley, Pam Lyon and Engela Wehr who took home vouchers from Down to Earth.
Thank you sponsors without your support bowling clubs would find it difficult to survive.
The men’s competition was dominated by the hosts with Geoff Donaldson, Taffy Knight and Dave Billet, whose combined age is almost 250 years, winning the second session.
Runners-up were Roger Lane, Rod Black and Mike Wood.
Mally Swanby, Kevin Davis and Mike Helfrich picked up five shots in the last end to win their first session by one shot against a strong AMBC side, then had a good win in the second session to finish as overall winners on 4+15.
The players are grateful to Warwick Maturity Financial Wealth and Enzo’s who sponsored prizes for this competition.
Also thanks to our tea time snack providers, Jenny Wadeley, John Cryer, Claire Wilhelm and Ernest Janion.
Alf Toy was presented with the monthly Most Improved Player, deservedly so after his fine form in the KBA novices.
Both our men and women league teams lost their matches last weekend, either section managing to bring home any points.
The Sezela teams bowled well but the opposition was too good on the day.
Our hosting a KBA men’s trips section Sunday went off very well thanks to Mike Davis who officiated and to the Sezela team who ensured the smooth running of this event.
We welcomed new member, Mike Collins, who lived and played his bowls in Witbank.
