Cool vibes at Tweni 2’s surfing

The popular event attracted surfers from far and wide.

There were cool vibes and home-grown wins for local surfers at the annual Tweni2’s Pairs Surfing Competition, held recently at The Spot Backpackers.

Surfers enjoyed an early start, and spectators lined the beach enjoying watching them battle it out.

This year, after the first round, the surfers went into two pools which afforded more opportunity for the locals to share the pot.

At the music festival, South Coasters showed their support in a big way, rocking and jiving to the tunes of the musicians and DJs until the wee hours.

Carve of the Day winner was Nicholas Njapha, pictured with event organiser Lindy Horlock.

Tweni2’s supports Ugu Surfriders and Umtentweni Tidy Town initiatives and thanked all their numerous sponsors who have been so loyal to the cause and the community.

The founders of the event, Pete and Lindy Horlock, made special mention of Andrew ‘Roosta’ Lange for his role in organising this year.

They also thanked all the surfers and supporters who were part of it all.

Tweni beach was filled with spectators.
