Bombay excite, Knockouts ignite

There has been some entertaining cricket played so far.

Spartans still top the log of the Skzn Winter T20 cricket league despite not playing recently.

Bombay XI, captained by Imran Razakazi, travelled all the way from Kokstad to play two games, the first against Super Giants, which they won, and the second against Knockout, which they lost.

Against Super Giants, Bombay batted first and made 206 all out in 18.4 overs, with Saleem Mehtar smashing 94 off 32 balls, including nine sixes and seven fours.

André Ellapen took 2-28, dismissing both openers, but his second over was expensive, with Saleem cashing in, especially after a potential catch was deflected for six.

Tausif Patel guides one into the backward point region for Bombay XI.

In response, Super Giants made 167-5, with Brinley de Bruin (29) and Mikyle Bartle (33) fluent at the top of the order.

Left-hander Trishay Ramdhaw put together a flamboyant 50 despite pulling a hamstring in the process.

Rana Patel was the pick of the bowlers, with 3-12 in four overs.

In the match against Knockouts, Bombay batted first and made 125-5 in 20 overs.

Saleem made 38, and Mayyu Patel 18 not out.

Trishay Ramdhaw smashes one to long off to bring up his fifty.

Farouk’s two early strikes put Bombay on the backfoot.

In reply, Knockouts made the runs comfortably, with accumulating 127-3 in 14.2 overs.
Among the runs were Yasin with 32 not out, Abdullah 28, Yakub 19 and Talha 20.

Rana and Gaffar Abdul Sattar picked up a wicket each, and there was a run out.
