KINGFISHER BA
The Masters season has been completed, with various awards being presented.
Gold medals went to Terrance Mc Glynn and Pam Cole-Cook, with silver to Mark Kassner and Liesje de Rosner.
Bronze awards were achieved by Glenn Hatfield and Bob Elliott, Annatjie Kidd and Tracy Graham.
Players of the year were Terrance Mc Glynn and Eileen Burt.
Achievers of the year were Ferro van Greunen and Pam Cole-Cook.
Riverside Sport Club was named club of the year.
MARGATE
The Ken Tonge-sponsored ladies’ trips saw 14 teams from various clubs take part. This event was last played before the April floods.
It turned out to be a festive morning, and the support was welcomed and appreciated.
Winners were Pat Brand Lyle, Amanda Visser and Jo Wells.
Runners-up were Moira Faure, Mini Grobler and Wanda Kitching.
First session was won by Lynne Faure, Mandy Isikson and Helen Proctor.
Second session went to Annette Symes, Jenny Louw and Yvonne Bausek.
Lucky draw was won by Trixi Smith.
SOUTHBROOM
Winning the JL Panelbeaters’ men’s fours last Friday were Cleve Walker, Glenn Hatfield, Ian Hunter and Tony Waters, all of Southbroom BC.
Runners-up were Dave Campbell, Rhett Butler, Paul Ekermans and Hylton Cannon, also of Southbroom.
Riverside’s Dave Nothard, Bruce Millar, Ron Weddell and Ross Ferguson finished third.
With one round to go for 2024, it is down to a two-horse race between Southbroom’s November winners and Riverside.
THE BELL
Well done to Louw Vermeulen, Leon Sander, Hans van der Walt, Steve O’Moore, Bob Corringham, Tony Aveyard and Robbie Duyts for winning the KBA sevens league. To the other teams that took part, well done to you all.
Tracy Graham won a bronze medal at the KBA Masters played at Widenham last weekend.
HIBBERDENE
The Hibberdene Pharmacy drawn mixed trips were won by Steff Dahlmann, Silvia Pretorius and Elize Duvenage.
In second place were Paul Hare, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Bossie Boshoff.
Session went to Eddie Milne, Miriam Seager and Amanda Boucher.
TWENI
The Astron Energy Umtentweni/Orcas mixed trips last Thursday was won by Dennis Graham, Zac Graham and Dot Ellison.
Runners-up were Derick Celliers, Dick Eltringham and Jing Wu Eltringham.
Session prize went to JJ Nel, Frank Ellison and Darlene Storm.
VILLAGE
Winning the Spec-Savers open trips last Thursday were Brian Douthwaite, Donnavan Mulder and Ali Mitchell.
Runners-up were Annette Payne, Norman Davies and Louis Heystek.
First session went to John Keppler, Steve Rennie and Leonie Booth.
Second session went to Corrie Pieters, Helen Pieters and Barry Mollett.
RIVERSIDE
The recent JL Panelbeaters competition was won by Neels de Beer, Martie de Beer, Pieter Swanepoel and Leon de Jager. The sponsor was thanked for the continued support.
Runners-up were St John Roodt, Carol Roodt and Cobie Engelbrecht.
Third place went to Mari Fielden, Gertie (visitor from Pretoria) and Gerhard Waldeck.
