Ten Cup win just what the doctor ordered
Golfers are already looking forward to the next one.
Port Shepstone Country Club’s Ten Cup finale took place last Saturday. Overall winners for the 2024 series were Dr Ayoob Bux and Ganes Munsami on 173 points, only four points ahead of Allan Clark and Kirk Larsen on 169 points. In third place were Morris Moodley and Sbu Ntozakhe on 168 points.
The final round was won by Sashen Govender and Preggie Perumal on 42 points. Next were Gavin van Wyk and Paul Geoffrey on 41 points, with Gerald Koch and Sidney Shingange in third place on 40 points. Overall winners Dr Bux and Ganes had 38 points to solidify the victory.
Nearest the pins were Rob Calder (5th), Howard Crouch (8th), Paul Bunge (14th) and Sidney Shingange (17th). Longest drive on the 18th went to Joshua van der Berg. Club captain Howard Crouch thanked all the players who took part and the sponsors who supported the series. The next one will start in February and run through to October.
The Pro Shop competition last Wednesday was won by Morris Moodley, Sashen Govender, Kreeson Naicker and Kiara Naicker on 112 points. In second place on 108 points were Gerald Koch, Fanie Terblanche, Mark Smith and Chris Boyce.
The Hibiscus Coast Electrical Fowl Friday was won by Ken Morris on 20 points. Cameron Olivant was next on 19 points, with Allan Rowley third on 17 points. Brett Longhurst was fourth on 15 points, with Gareth Olivant in fifth spot on 13 points.
