Retro 24 stoke for Luke Patterson
The organisers thanked all the sponsors, helpers, participants and party-goers for their support
South Coasters popped up out of the woodwork and other hiding places to support the annual Tweni 2’s Summer Retro Surfing, Beach Soccer and Music Festival at The Spot Backpackers last Saturday.
Luke Patterson knew just how to handle and make the most of his waves on the retro boards to walk away as the winner and the new owner of a custom-made Wedge surfboard.

Gary Cox, an old local, exhibited the best style while Justin Maisch won the best turn prize.
Grom surfer Fynn MacKenzie, who commentated all morning, was awarded the junior prize.
Sarah Horlock was the standout female surfer, giving some of the men a run for their money.
The early-bird ticket sales prize of the surfboard was won by Colleen Hamilton, who elected to take the cash option of R5000, thus allowing the board to be successfully auctioned off by Lane Allan.
This allowed all attendees another chance to take home this ‘once-off’ work-of-art surfboard.
The organisers thanked all the sponsors, helpers, participants and party-goers for their support of the Tweni community at another successful Tweni2’s event.
