Rob Vogt claims May mug trophy

Rob Vogt was the overall mug winner on nett 70.

There was plenty on the go at Port Shepstone Country Club last week.

The May monthly mug competition last Wednesday was sponsored by Vic’s Enterprises & Victor’s Curry Room.
Division winners were Gavin van Wyk (A), Albert Dos Santos (B), Basil King (C) and Rob Calder (Stableford).
Gavin had the best gross of 82, but Rob Vogt was the overall mug winner on nett 70.
The ladies’ monthly mug on the same day was won by Jenny Hulley on nett 76, on a countout from Louise Snyman.

The Hibiscus Coast Electrical Fowl Friday saw Allan Rowley lead the way with 22 points, followed by Louise Snyman on 21, Basil King on 20, and Bruce Holmes and Charles Hulley on 19.

The Standard Bank Pairs betterball last Saturday was won by Joshua and Ruben Isaas on 50 points.
They were six ahead of Chris Naicker and Warren Reddy on 44 points, with Morris Moodley and Rob Calder next on 43 points.

The Wozani Par 3 Challenge last Sunday, sponsored by Wozani Berg Gasoline, saw 48 golfers tee it up to play the short course designed by Rudi Coetzee.
To date the club raised R2 470 for hospice through this competition.
Winners on 43 points were Mkhoma brothers Phiwa and PK.
Phiwa pivoted with Godfrey Zithumane for second place, with third taken by Hugh Strickland and Gavin Wood, then Leon le Roux and Rudi Coetzee, with Kreeson and Kiara Naicker rounding out the top five.
Nearest the pins were Hole 2 – Godfrey Zithumane (2nd), Zaanru Coetzee (5th), Gavin Wagenaar (8th) and Rocco Verster (15th).
The MakMoer longest drive on the 18th prizes went to PK Mkhoma and Rudi Coetzee.
