More medals for swimmers

Blue Ocean Aquatics has produced medal winners for many years now.

Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers took part in the recent KZN short course champs, where they bagged a number of medals.

Marnu Koekemoer won gold in 100m breaststroke, 100m IM, 50m freestyle and 200m breaststroke, and bronze in 50m fly. These medals were for the 16 and open events

Kirsty Koegelenberg won gold in the 200m freestyle and 200m breaststroke, silver in the 200m IM and 400m freestyle and bronze in the 100m freestyle in the 14-15 age group

Ella Bunge won three silver medals – for the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events. She also won bronze in the 100m backstroke, 100m IM and 50m fly events in the 14-15 age group

Nathan Hartman won a bronze medal in the men’s 16 and over 20m backstroke race.

Grayson Greco won gold in the 200m breaststroke, silver in the 100m IM and bronze in the 100m breaststroke events as a junior, 11 and under age group.

Zuriel Pakkiri and Peter Koegelenberg were just outside medals, placing fourth in a few of their races but they did produce personal best times in their events.
