Karate students bag medals
Port Shepstone Shotokan Karate Club's students excelled at the championships.
Shotokan Karate International South Africa hosted the development championships at the Phoenix Youth Centre in Durban recently.
Three karate students from the Port Shepstone Shotokan Karate Club, under Sensei Frank Moodley, attended the championships and did the South Coast proud.
Emir Sahli won gold in Kata and silver in Kumite. Sarah Sahli won gold in Kumite and Neriah Peeriyalal won silver in Kata and bronze in Kumite.
Moodley congratulated the students and wished them all the best for their upcoming events.
Congratulations also go to Ilhaam Amod for representing Team South Africa at the 11th Region 5 Youth Games held in Namibia recently. Ilhaam won a bronze medal in Kumite.
