Scottburgh Golf Club was the venue for this month’s Village Eagles golf game.

The course had been cut back a lot and was in good condition, making it open with a low lost ball count. Well done to Clive Melville for his estimate of 39.

Best lady was Terry Bacchus on 37 individual points. Noel Jessup took the men’s prize on 43 points.
The winners on the day were Mervyn Perry, Martin Conway, Alister Ferguson and Ron King on an alliance score of 91 points.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Anton Hauptfleish, Robin Melville, Stan Sim and Dave Whitfield on 77 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Alistair Eyres. Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master on the day and this was once again well supported.

The next game is the yearly charity game at Umdoni Park Golf Course on September 14 – please try to support this game as it is for a good cause.

The monthly game after the charity event will be at Selborne Golf Club on October 7. See you all there.
