The annual South Coast Marathon, a game-changer on the national calendar, offers breath taking scenic routes and fully stocked water tables.
With competitive prizemoney up for grabs the event, set to take place on September 28, is expected to attract top runners.
The marathon, which will start (at 06:00) and finish at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre, is presented by South Coast Striders and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.
In a fun twist, race committee members have challenged some locals who will be taking part – watch the press for details.
To register, go to Webtickets or visit your nearest Pick n Pay. There’s a shirt for the first 500 entries. The race also serves as a Comrades qualifier.
Race distances are 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km. The overall winner will receive R12 500 which will be doubled if a new record is set, while second place gets R8500 and third place R5500.
