Angus Bunge of Paddock took part in the final round of the KZN Schools MTB series in Howick recently, where he came first in a field of 98 in the sub-nipper category.
After winning the opening round, an unfortunate fall that took him out of the race at Maritzburg College in round two cost him, but he took the leader’s jersey again in round three and four to win the series.
He showed great determination and put in much hard work after school hours, all the while juggling his schoolwork and other school sport.
