Port Shepstone Country Club golfers hosted the Hollywoodbets Dolphins cricketers for Mthunzi Cup golfing showdown recently.
The locals won by 323 points to 244 points.
It proved to be a resounding success, bringing together two great teams for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.
Both teams battled it out on the green, showcasing skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.
The challenge featured a Betterball Stableford format with two Sheppie players and two Dolphins in every fourball.
It was such an honour for the club host the cricketers on the golf course and also padel courts.
Thanks were extended to Ryan Ringo (Mthunzi Hotel and Conference) and Vernon Albrecht (MakMoer) for sponsoring the trophy.
Best scores from Sheppie players were Dick and Natasha Cotterell on 43 points, with Ian Mitchell and Jenny Hulley next on 42 points.
In terms of the cricketers, best score came from JJ Smuts and Marques Ackerman on 39 points, followed by Tristan Luus and Bryce Parsons on 37 points.
Nearest the pins were Jenny Hulley (5th), Ian Mitchell (8th), Natasha Cotterell (14th) and JJ Smuts (17th).
