Ugu serves up high quality Masters tennis

The South Cast hospitality proved second to none.

What the recent Ugu South Coast Tennis Masters may have lacked in quantity, it certainly made up for in quality.

Hosted by Umtentweni and Uvongo tennis clubs, the tournament attracted 55 players, locally and from around the country.

Convener Sharon van der Schyff said the standard of play was outstanding, with some of the best players in the country (in their age groups) taking part.

Perfect weather enabled players to finish all matches. One of the highlights of the tournament was the ‘Burger and Bonfire’ function at Tweni on the Friday night, with live music and dancing.

Overall, the tournament was a huge hit, with many compliments from the players.
