Silver and gold for Shelly Beach fitness model
The results are just reward of much hard work and sacrifice.
Dominique Wilken of Shelly Beach has put herself and the South Coast on the map with her results at the DH Classic 2025.
Th event was held at the Junction Centre in Kloof recently, where she entered two categories.
First up was the Ladies Bikini (up to 166cm), where she placed second, earning a silver medal.
Things would go from strength to strength in the second category, Fit Model, a division made up of two line-ups that together determine the final result.
The first line-up featured an elegant, evening-wear style look, with all attire tailor-made to suit each athlete.
The second line-up is presented in a monokini.
Dominique placed first in this category, receiving a gold medal and a prize of R2500.
While the results mean a great deal to her, this is only the beginning, she says.
“Fitness has taught me far more than physical strength, it has instilled discipline, patience, commitment and consistency, values that continue to shape both my personal and athletic journey.”
Dominique trains at Body Harmony Gym in Shelly Beach.
“I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering love and support from my family and friends, who have made this journey more bearable and truly rewarding,” she said.
The show was hosted by Darren Hubraj, who made it possible for athletes to receive actual cash for first place.
