The KBA novice singles finals took place at Hibberdene BC last week, showcasing the promising future of bowls in the district.
The eight semi-finalists delivered outstanding performances, embodying the spirit of the game and the potential for continued growth and success.
Winners were Johan van Schalkwyk (men) and Luhane von Benecke (women).
Taking silver were Tinus Botha (men) and Aletta Bennette (women).
Shared bronze went to Rob Nel and Lusanda Nyawose (men) and Adri Jordaan and Melinda Gordon (women).
MARGATE
The JL Panelbeaters open trips on March 13 was won by Ken Tonge, Ron Vink and Theo Vorster. Runners-up were Manny Rodrigues, Mike Dunn and Louis Heystek.
Session prize went to Mark Kassner. Kevin Button and Shaun Crowe. Lucky draw went to Mo Karani.
The South Coast VW drawn pairs on March 15 were won by Mark Kassner and Steve Blundell. Runners-up were Ken Tonge and Erno van Dyk.
First session winners were Jeanne Gregori and Moira Faure. Second session went to Ron Vink and Greg Bosch.
Lucky draw was won by Denny Watson.
