Runners take on new trails in Scottburgh
The event ran smoothly with runners soaking up every moment on the trails.
The Crocworld Trail Run hosted in partnership with KZN Trail Running was held on April 26 at the conservation centre’s new trails.
Race options included a long course – 20km; medium course – 10km); and short course – 5km.
The KZN Trail Running organisation stated that from start to finish, the event ran smoothly with runners soaking up every moment on the trails.
From serene forests to sweeping South Coast views – with Scottburgh in the distance and rolling hills, forests, and farmlands all around – the routes delivered something special.
There was a real buzz in the air early on, with runners eager to explore the new trails. The morning kicked off with Fish Eagle calls echoing through the valley, setting the tone for a special day.
Add in perfect weather, a strong field, and well-manned routes, and it all came together exactly as hoped.
KZN Trail Running thanks Crocworld Conservation Centre, Badger Cycles, Fish Eagle Café, as well as MacGrif and Funky Pants for making the day possible. A massive thank you also goes out to all the runners and spectators for being part of the first run on these trails.
