First marathon done and dusted for Scottburgh runner

Lelani Ackhurst completed her first 42.2km marathon

Scottburgh Athletics Club members recently took part in the Durban International Marathon.

This started at Prospecton, Toti and finished at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Lelani Ackhurst completed her first 42.2km marathon, much to her delight, and wanted to inspire others to believe that they can also achieve something like this.

Her husband Trevor supported her along the way, as did fellow runner Beverly Lawson.
