Bootcamp embraces fitness as a lifestyle in Margate

The session created a space where people of all fitness levels could participate.

A vibrant and impactful fitness bootcamp took place in Margate, bringing together members of the Lower South Coast community in the spirit of health, unity, and purpose.

The event, held recently, was led by coach Pamela Nana Cwele and coach Mondli Nzama, with support and assistance from coach Wanda Mvundla of Genesis Community Gym.

While Genesis Community Gym was not the host, the team was honoured to stand alongside and support this initiative, reflecting a shared vision of community upliftment through fitness.

The bootcamp was held in recognition of Nelson Mandela’s 67 minutes, with a clear mission – to inspire individuals and families to embrace fitness as a lifestyle that strengthens not only the body, but also the mind and spirit.

There were sunny skies and smiles all around.

Coach Nana shared that the heart behind the event was to encourage the community to come together and use fitness as a tool to combat social challenges. The session created a space where people of all fitness levels could participate, support one another, and grow together.

Coach Mondli highlighted the deeper impact of such gatherings, emphasising how fitness bootcamps go beyond physical training. He noted how strangers become accountability partners, participants motivate one another, and a powerful sense of unity is formed. The energy of the group, especially when encouraging the last person to finish, reflects a culture where no one is left behind.

He further expressed that these events are about changing mindsets, not just bodies, creating an environment where people leave feeling proud, motivated, and already looking forward to the next session.

Genesis Community Gym believes in collaboration and partnership to expand impact. By supporting initiatives like this, the gym remains committed to empowering communities, building relationships, and helping others achieve their goals through shared vision and purpose.

This event stands as a strong reminder that when communities come together, positive change becomes not only possible but sustainable.
