Dancers discover that Africa rocks

The young and the not so young put on a splendid performance.

THE Elvira Venter Dance School, in collaboration with Port Shepstone Rotary Club, stages an annual show with the  proceeds going to charity.

It is an opportunity for the younger and older, aspirant and seasoned dancers of the school to practise and show off their skills. Rotarians and their Anns provide the comic relief.

This year was no different and the show, ‘Born in The RSA’ was very well received at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre last Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In the production, the actors and dancers proved to their audience that when you have caught the rhythm of Africa, you can speak the hidden language of the soul, where life is the dancer and you are the dance.

The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by an appreciative audience on all three days.
