Special day for senior citizens
School pupils showed their love, gratitude and respect for the elderly at a special event.
SOME 500 senior citizens enjoyed a special afternoon organised by Port Shepstone Secondary staff and pupils last Saturday.
The school’s social development project was a huge success with entertainment provided by both pupils and teachers. The school’s girl guides assisted by serving the elderly guests a meal, complete with dessert and tea.
The event saw the seniors dancing and singing along to some great music.
“It was awesome and the faces of the senior citizens expressed excitement and enjoyment, as there wasn’t a moment that they weren’t entertained,” said Port Shepstone Secondary principal, Shireen Ramkelawon.
The school would like to thank all sponsors for making the day a success, she said.
