Blarney flows at Sheppie CC
Celebrated internationally on March 17, the day commemorates the patron saint of Ireland, a missionary who, according to legend, drove all snakes from the Emerald Isle.
IT was that time again when fashion turned green and the sound of Irish ballads filled the air. Tuesday this week was St Patrick’s Day and anyone, anywhere in the world, with even an atom of blarney in his or her soul celebrated this day.
Port Shepstone Country Club invited everyone to mark this important saint’s day at its big St Patrick’s Day bash, last Sunday. Visitors were encouraged to wear something green and came and listened or sang along to some great Irish music.
There was quite an interesting mix of musos producing the Irish vibes. South Coast piper Charles Carr joined David Marks, as well as guitarist and singer John Collins, accordionist and keyboard player Jim Docherty, members of ‘Sound Dogs’ and various guests. CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS.
