Club members are quizzed
It was the battle of the brains for many members of various South Coast service clubs.
SEVERAL South Coast service clubs gathered at Mbango Valley recently for the popular Port Shepstone Bullslingers’ annual social and quiz evening. Starting with a delicious supper, the evening looked set to be a great success.
Quizmaster Ernest Meier had his ‘victims’ on the edge of their seats with a variety of brain-teasing questions.
Thanks to its brainy members, the team, Rough and Ready proved to be the smartest, winning this year’s event. Close in second position was the Ramsgate Twenies followed by the Lions Prowlers.
Quizmaster, Ernst Meier said that something new this year was a spelling section. “The spellings we got for the word ‘diarrhoea’ were hilarious, only one team got that one right,” he said. “The music section also baffled, but as soon as the song’s longer version was played everybody realised they actually knew the songs.
“We thank Mbango Valley for the use of its hall and its kindness for opening and manning the bar. The braai was also well attended and we are sure to do this next year again.”
