Bob Dylan’s birthday celebrated in grand style at PSCC

The folk singer has a loyal following.

The 75th anniversary of the birth of Bob Dylan, American singer, songwriter, social commentator and one of the world’s best loved minstrels was celebrated with a big bash at the Port Shepstone Country Club last Sunday. David Marks played host to the musical happening.

A group of South Coast musos together with a few plug in and play visitors performed to a large audience. Mr Marks said that Dylan’s music had inspired millions of people for over five decades. “Dylan would be quite chuffed to know that he has a tremendous and surprisingly large South Coast following and that many people, from down here in deepest, fairest South Africa, listen to and sing his songs,” he said.
