Music lovers enjoy piano recital
This talented pianist has performed in many different countries.
ACCLAIMED pianist Benjamin Fourie.,who has earned applause in many different countries, performed to a packed house at Azalea Hall, Margate Retirement Village last Friday.
A highly talented musician, Benjamin has given concerts all over South Africa and in Namibia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Serbia. He is known for his interpretations of contemporary piano music.
Benjamin said that he is a concert pianist and piano lecturer, previously attached to the College of the Arts in Windhoek, Namabia and the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban. “I present regular house concerts to South African as well as overseas tourists and also at art festivals, university auditoriums and in towns countrywide,” he added.
“As a recording artist, I have released three CD recordings of piano music by South African composers, to high critical acclaim. The first two were nominated as finalist entries for the annual South African Music Awards. These are currently sold out.”
