AN evening of great food and wine left diners delighted at the wine pairing evening at Umthunzi Boutique last Wednesday. Instead of just a run-of the-mill wine tasting, general manager of Umthunzi Boutique, Ryan Ringo designed a menu around a superb selection of wines.
The food was chosen to enhance the flavour of the wine, giving diners the ultimate all-round dining experience.
David Niewoudt of Cederberg Wines gave a concise and light-hearted talk on the history of the estate, while describing the estate’s wines to guests. Great food, great wine, great company, what more could one ask for?
