Zumba dancing for Nepal

Proceeds from this Zumbathon will go towards a worthy cause.

THE earth moved (in a good way) at the Zumbathon at Superbodies Gym in Margate last weekend.

The young and the not so young took to the floor in numbers to raise money to help earthquake victims in Nepal.

The April 2015 Nepal earthquake (also known as the Gorkha earthquake) killed more than 8 800 people and injured more than 23 000. It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake.

Organiser Cindy Francis said that she decided to use the Zumba programme to help rebuild people’s lives in Nepal.

“This earthquake was a major devastation to human lives throughout that country. Nepal needs our help more than ever. Every penny from this Zumbathon will reach those suffering. I thank all for their compassion,” said Mrs Francis.
