Jacob’s Saw takes music scene by storm

PORT Shepstone Country Club is rapidly making a name for itself, not only for its fine golf course, but also for live entertainment.

The newly formed band Jacob’s Saw performed to an enthusiastic audience in the club courtyard on Friday night, led by talented blues singer Jamie Bailey.

His gravelly voice and unique playing style on a ‘laptop’ guitar are spellbinding. His guitars were specially made after he injured his arm in a motorcycling accident.

Jamie is backed up by his son, Kaine-Storme, who also has somewhat of a unique style. He plays a guitar… upside down.

Then there’s Brian de Kok on drums and Oscar Swanland on guitar and harmonica.

Jacob’s Saw recently cut its first CD and is sure to become a really popular local act.
