Cassandra is crowned Miss Mzamba
The event affords the youth of the underprivileged Mzamba location an opportunity to showcase their talent.
CASSANDRA Lyons was crowned Miss Mzamba 2015 at a glittering event held at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort’s Tropical Nites Theatre last Saturday evening.
Organised by Minintle Qatsi in association with Social Glow, Miss Mzamba 2015 was a resounding success and spectators were treated to jaw-dropping performances from local artists.
Cassandra walked away with a bursary from College for Business and Maritime Studies and will be leaving for Johannesburg to be part of famous celebrity designer and pageant judge TK Mbatha’s fashion show.
The beauty pageant is an opportunity for the youth of Mzamba to live their dreams and goes a long way towards developing self-esteem of all aspiring artists.
Miss Mzamba 2015 was just one of a series of events held at the resort last weekend and attracted a huge crowd. Organisers were overwhelmed with the success of the event and thank sponsors Mbizana Development Trust, Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort and College for Business and Maritime Studies for being part of this initiative.
