Great humour for South Coasters
It was three days of drama - with a side order of laughter.
THE adage ‘laughter is the best medicine’ proved true at the comedy show ‘Cuppa-Tune O’s’.
This, Shelly Beach Rotary’s fifth melodrama, opened with grand fanfare at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre last Thursday.
Held over three days, the show was based on a South African radio station featuring various well known members of the community, from different walks of life and various businesses and service clubs.
Each acted totally out of their comfort zone and it was an evening of fun, fellowship and laughter! The show was just what everyone needed – a good dose of humour.
The cast connected well with the audience, making for some very entertaining moments.
What has become quite clear is that South Coasters can’t seem to get enough of Rotary’s melodramas – the hall was packed to capacity on all three days and the cast will be returning next year with another hilarious comedy show.
Many hours of hard work and practice went into the staging of this production and kudos go to the extremely capable and creative producer, Vanessa Howard-Tripp.
