Nutrition was food for thought at Stonecroft Ministries
Women listened carefully to what food is good for the body.
NATURAL nutrition was a well received topic at Stonecroft Ministries’ monthly meeting at Port Shepstone Country Club last Friday.
Health practitioner Sean Thorncroft, who was the guest speaker, said that avoiding frying your foods can contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
“Food preparation is important and eating at least one third of your food raw helps maintain a healthy body. Replace excess protein with high-quality fats, such as organic eggs, high quality meats, avocados and coconut oil,” explained Mr Thorncroft.
After the interesting talk, local musician Sim Cele entertained guests. Audrey Arneson and Netta Coetzee won beautiful prizes in a sock decorating competition. After a time of good fellowship and tea, Lynette de Bruyn shared her life story on how she got to know Jesus Christ and how her life changed for the better.
Stonecroft Ministries’ next monthly meeting takes place at Port Shepstone Country Club on November 20. John Irven and Margaret Rex are the guest speakers.
A country and western singer, Shirley Louw, from Gauteng will provide the entertainment.
