Elvira’s dancers jazz it up
Showgoers witnessed many forms of dances at this end-of-year show.
THE ‘Jazzmatazz’ end-of-year offering from the Elvira Venter School of Dance played to an enthusiastic and vociferous audience at the Uvongo Town Hall last Tuesday and Wednesday. Parents of the dancers, together with a host of showgoers were treated to a lively and varied evening of dance at a packed hall. This dance review showcased dance in all its forms, from modern, hip hop and jazz to musical theatre and featured students from five years to adults.
The masterfully choreographed dances had the audience alternating between tapping their feet, applause, and loud whistles. It was a tremendous personal triumph for dance teacher and choreographer Elvira Venter, who managed to coax superb performances from her strong cast. She congratulated all her dancers who had worked so hard and their parents, who showed such support and brought the wonderful audiences to the shows!
“With all of your teamwork and effort, everyone came together and we presented great shows on both days! I am so proud of what you accomplished in such a short time. This was a team effort and we do have such a strong community! I am so lucky to have you taking part in ‘Jazzmatazz’. I am really proud of you and I really, really appreciate your support!” said Elvira.
