Tavern hosts fund-raiser

Donations of toys and cans of pet food were collected for distribution to the needy.

THE Village Tavern family want to make it a special festive season for abused animals and underprivileged  children.

With this in mind, owner of the Village Tavern, Kevin Krummeck, hosted a ‘Charity Day’ day last Sunday.

The usual free karaoke took place from 1 to 6pm, but patrons were asked to come along with a toy, blanket or whatever they had lying in the cupboard which could be donated to a child or a pet.

The Village Tavern would hand these over to the organisation, ‘Helping Hands’ in order to help make Christmas a little brighter for the less fortunate.
