Hope Park filled with Christmas cheer

All roads led to Hope Park in Marburg, where a Carols by Candlelight service took place.

A NUMBER of locals and visitors got into the festive spirit, prepared their vocal cords, found their jingle bells and grabbed a candle or two and headed for Hope Park’s Carols by Candlelight at the park in Dairy Road, Marburg last Friday.

Wors rolls, tea and coffee and cupcakes were on sale. Live entertainment, plenty of food and games for the children kept everyone busy.

Traditional, familiar sounds of Christmas carols were to be heard across the park, under the twinkling stars. Pastor Reggie John described the event as an ‘awesome evening’, with people coming together to share in goodwill, love, peace, hope and greetings to family and friends over this festive period.
