Tipple to tease taste buds
The Cansa fund-raiser showed off South Africa's blended brandies.
CONNOISSEURS and novices alike found something to spark their interest, and their taste buds, at Umthunzi Hotel and Conference’s brandy, whisky, food and fun evening last Friday.
Ryan Ringo, general manager, said that the event, a fund-raiser for Cansa, aimed to bring together all who shared a passion for the drink and who would enjoy the opportunity to mingle with distillers, brandy masters and brandy makers.
“With its discernibly South African character resulting from our soil, sun-ripened grapes and copper stills, brandy is one of our country’s true national products and most treasured drinks,” explained Ryan.
