Craft market is a delight

The Senior Citizens' Craft Market in Sea Park, held at the end of every month, is well worth the visit.

THE monthly Senior Citizens’ Garden Centre and Craft Market in Sea Park was held on Saturday and one could enjoy delicious tea and sandwiches while browsing.

There was a lovely range of goodies on offer including home-made jams and preserves, handmade crafts, baked delights and of course, the nursery where you could find a wide range of plants. One can also get knives, scissors and garden secateurs sharpened at the market.

The beautifully manicured garden, with cascading water features, was filled with vibrant colour. This piece of paradise was created by avid gardener, Jenny Jackson, a past president of the Harmony Garden Club. She had a number of water tanks to keep her garden alive during the drought.

Jenny willingly offered gardening advice and handed out her monthly newsletter.
