Talented trio were absolute genius

It was a privilege to listen to this charming, melodious trio who captivated the audience with their musical talent.

IT was an afternoon of pure classical genius at the ‘Le Souvenir de Fleurs’ concert held at Margate Retirement Village on Sunday.

This musical trio wowed and charmed the audience with their exceptional talents.

They performed a series of acclaimed classical and operatic pieces including Chopin, Liszt and Puccini that received thunderous applause.

Exceptional pianist, Rita de Klerk, has a musical degree at Russia’s Tashkent Conservatory of Music and has fulfilled her mother’s dreams.

Violinist Marianna Eriksen charmed the audience with her exquisite musical renditions. Her mother is an opera singer and her father a military brass band conductor.

Opera singer and soprano Vanessa Tait-Jones, who has a voice like an angel, is an MMus cum laude graduate who also performs solos with South Africa’s top philharmonic orchestras and holds a Kenna-award.

The audience, so enraptured by their talent, gave a standing ovation with calls for an encore, to which the trio gracefully obliged.

Hopefully they will return to inspire us with their musical genius where we can all, once again, immerse ourselves in their brilliance.
