Restaurant of the Week: Friar Tuck is an award winning steakhouse
Treat yourself to mouth-watering meals fit for kings and queens at Friar Tuck, a medieval inspired restaurant.
WHEN you step into this family steakhouse, you are assured of personalised customer service, an enchanting atmosphere and deliciously prepared food.
The restaurant prides itself on serving the best spare ribs and steaks. Its award-winning speciality is the Lion Heart Peppered Rump, which is served embedded with crushed Madagascan green peppercorns and smothered with a creamy black pepper sauce.
There is an array of starters such as the field mushroom prepared in port and garlic, studded with prawns, shrimps and parsley, then covered with creamy white sauce, topped with breadcrumbs, and grilled.
Vegetarians are catered for and can enjoy the veggie bake, which consists of three vegetables topped with a diced large brown mushroom, panfried in port, garlic and butter.
Seafood lovers will not be disappointed and nor will clients who enjoy a good, wholesome, home-made burger patty, made from one hundred percent prime steak mince.
Friar Tuck has not forgotten its loyal customers and has introduced the ‘Merry Men Loyalty Card’. There is also a cash draw prize where every R100 spent at a table allows one adult one entry into the draw.
Open seven days a week, from 5pm till late and noon till late on Saturdays and Sundays. To book call 039 3121084.
