Restaurant of the Week: Friar Tuck

Dining at this enchanting restaurant is an experience not to be missed.

BACK in medieval times, nobles dined in style and Robin Hood and his Merry Men were the endearing folk heroes of the day.

At Friar Tuck Restaurant you become immersed in ‘olde’ England while enjoying mouth-watering meals fit for a king.

The menu at this award winning steakhouse, in the heart of Margate, offers juicy steaks, slow cooked oxtail, traditional lamb curry, the best spare ribs and wholesome homemade burgers.

Seafood lovers are spoiled for choice with a wide selection which includes crayfish, prawns, calamari and platters, all cooked to perfection. Vegetarians can enjoy an amazing variety of salads, vegetable platters and bakes.

This family-orientated eatery caters for children with a designated ‘kiddies corner’ and a ‘little eaters’ menu which includes burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and riblets.

Whether it’s for a romantic dinner, or a corporate function, this established restaurant has something for everyone. Open seven days a week, 5pm till late and 12pm till late on Saturdays and Sundays. A three course lunch is now available on Sundays at only R85 per person.
