Restaurant of the Week: Munchner Haus

The restaurant is popular with both tourists and locals.

AFTER a fun day at the beach, relax and enjoy a delicious meal at the Münchner Haus German Restaurant in St Mike’s.

Since opening the restaurant nine years ago, owners Harald and Louise Gärtner have turned this eatery into a favourite with locals and holidaymakers alike.

Harald, a trained master chef, prepares German and continental dishes that range from the famous eisbein and schnitzels to the popular wurstplatter. Although the restaurant has a strong German influence, the menu includes delicious seafood, steaks and a variety of traditional Italian-style pizza, baked in a wood oven.

Not only well known for its flavoursome food, this restaurant is also fully licensed and serves a selection of wines, spirits, German beer and schnapps.

Trading hours are Monday to Sunday for dinner from 5pm-9pm and Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, also for lunch from 12pm-2pm. Open every day in season for lunch and dinner.

Christmas bookings are now open, so be sure to call at 039 3155112 or 0766148011.
