Radical plan needed

It is time the municipality prioritised the jobs that need to be done.

THE South Coast is in need of a radical plan to be unrolled to bring economic relief.

Tourism is the lifeblood of the area but the number of visitors is declining year-on-year.

Margate, once hailed as the jewel of the South Coast, is, according to the business community, literally going down the tubes, along with their livelihoods.

One of their biggest laments is the sad state of public facilities, especially the town’s beachfront.

Margate’s Olympic pool has been closed for eight months.

Promises are made but not kept.
