Restaurant of the Week: Münchner Haus

Tuck in to heart-warming dishes for crisp winter days.

HARALD and Louise Gärtner have owned Münchner Haus since 2008, and are experienced restaurateurs.

Harald, a chef for 27 years, specialises in German cuisine and continental dishes.

Known for its warm atmosphere, tasty food and generous servings, the restaurant’s  menu includes German specialities such as the Wurst platter or the popular Bauernplatte, which offer a selection of eisbein, kassler, sausage and meatloaf served with sauerkraut and mash.

Other dishes include venison, seafood and steaks and the eatery is also renowned for its variety of mouth-watering traditional Italian-style pizzas.

All the meals are freshly prepared  and can also be ordered from the à-la-carte menu as takeaways.

The restaurant is open from Monday to Sunday for dinner.

It is open for lunch on Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 12am till 2pm and Sunday lunch is from 12pm till 2pm.
