Restaurant of the Week: Crayfish Inn
Tony Macmillan, where are you? Ramsgate's Crayfish Inn is calling.

OUR beautiful South Coast is packed with must-do restaurants and Ramsgate’s Crayfish Inn is one of them.
Winding back the clock some 40 years: This journalist was assigned by the Natal Mercury to cover a sardine run with photographer Tony Macmillan who, as luck would have it, was the son of the editor of that newspaper, Jimmy Macmillan.
Job done, pics secured… now where to for lunch? (It was the done thing among ‘hacks’ in those days.)
Tony: “We have to go to the Crayfish Inn.”
Lowly Spatula: “Who’s paying?”
Tony: “Don’t worry, I’m sure my dad will pass the expense.”
Alas, no such luck, but a seafood meal at the famous Crayfish Inn was worth it… and still is today.
