This Australian actress and singer made her film debut in the television film The Echo of Thunder.
Her breakthrough role was in the horror film Ghost Ship (2002), which exposed her to a larger audience and not just the Australian acting industry.
Emily went on to winning the Australian Film Institute International Award for Best Actress 2005 for her role as Violet Baudelaire in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004).
She has also starred in movies such as The Uninvited, Sucker Punch, Sleeping Beauty, The Host, Pompeii and Legend.
She is currently starring as Laura Moon on American Gods.
