After starring as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series, the American actress and singer’s fame grew.
After the first High School Musical film, Vanessa signed to Hollywood Records, with whom she released two studio albums, V (2006) and Identified (2008).
She also made appearances in many other Disney Channel shows such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Some of the many movies she’s had roles in are Bandslam (2009), Beastly (2011), Sucker Punch (2011), Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012), Spring Breakers (2013).

Vanessa dated her High School Musical co-star, Zac Efron for five years, then the couple ended their relationship in 2010. A year, later and to date, she is dating actor, Austin Butler.
She was born and raised in the Catholic ways and now identifies as ‘a non-denominational Christian’ and attends Hillsong Church in Los Angeles.
