Celebrity Birthdays – January 10: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan turns 44
Who do you share a birthday with today?
The Bollywood film star is renowned for not only his great acting and good looks, but for his dance skills too. His father, Rakesh Roshan, is also well-known filmmaker.
Hrithik is one of the most famous faces in India and has earned himself many awards, including six Filmfares, four for Best Actor and one each for Best Debut and Best Actor (Critics). In 2012, he made Forbes India’s Celebrity 100.
Due to his father being a filmmaker, Hrithik made many appearances in his father’s films in the 1980s, and later worked as an assistant director on four of the films. The first major lead role Hrithik played was in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000. He then landed roles in other major films such as Fiza and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
In 2003 he starred in Koi Mil Gaya which he won two Filmfare awards for. It was in this movie that his acting and dance skills really showed.
Hrithik has to date starred in many films and continues to grow as an actor.
The actor is also involved with several humanitarian causes, endorses several brands and products and has even launched his own clothing line.
He married Sussane Khan with whom he had two children. Their marriage ended in 2014, after 14 years.
