The American comedian, television host, actress, writer, and producer now hits her 60s.

Ellen’s road to stardom began when she starred in the self entitled sitcom Ellen which ran from 1994 to 1998 and has hosted her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, since 2003 to date. She started doing stand-up comdey in the 1980s. She then earned herself several movie roles as an actress in films such as Mr. Wrong (1996), EDtv (1999) and The Love Letter (1999).

And who could ever forget Ellen being the voice artist behind ‘Dory’ in Pixar’s animated film Finding Nemo (2003). The success of this movie and the demand for a sequel then had her voicing ‘Dory’ again, but in her own movie, Finding Dory (2016).

In 2010, Ellen was a judge on the ninth season of American Idol.

In 1997, Ellen told the world she was lesbian and announced it on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Later in 2008, she married Portia de Rossi.

She has hosted the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, and the Primetime Emmys.

One of Ellen’s greatest achievements has to be when she recieved the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016. Other than that, she has won 30 Emmys, 20 People’s Choice Awards and the list goes on.

She has authored four books and started her own record company, Eleveneleven, as well as a production company, A Very Good Production.
