Social markets are usually for people involved in boosting the economy of a certain place in terms of art, fashion, food and Music. They are usually held over the weekend to provide locals with an opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family.

More often than not, these locals put on their best outfits and head to markets, just to enjoy the day experiencing food, music and arts by locals.

NPS Phola Nathi is an outdoor , picnic setup with beautiful music and live band performances, while people enjoy the arts, window shopping from popup stores. Entrance to NPS Phola Nathi events is free and their events are usually on Sundays around the Port Shepstone area.

The Kasified Eksperience initiative was started by five men from Gamalakhe who saw the need to bring back the ‘Kasi’ (township) culture and boost township tourism. Their events are also on Sundays, in Gamalakhe and are free to the public.
