Restaurant of the Week: The Lobster Pot

Dine and dance on the first Friday of the month, or enjoy the four-course Sunday lunch special.

The iconic Lobster Pot Restaurant in Ramsgate is distinguishable by its landmark tower with a huge red lobster painted on it.

Established in 1967, the elegant eatery is one of the oldest in the area. Owners, Bruce and Linda Forbes, continue the Lobster Pot’s tradition of excellent service and delectable treats.

The cosy atmosphere is perfect for intimate dining or relaxed family meals and, although the menu boasts a variety of dishes to suit all palates, the most popular remain the lobster and prawn platters.

Welcome Mzwandile Nkomo from The Lobster Pot presents the popular Lobster Thermidor made the traditional French way served with tender calamari strips.

For all occasions head to the Lobster Pot, open Tuesday to Friday from noon to 9pm, Saturday from 5pm to 9pm and Sunday from 11.30am to 8pm. In season also open on Mondays. Call 039 3149809.
